POLICE OFFICERS ARE TODAY’S OVERSEERS AND TRUMP SEES HIMSELF AS THE ULTIMATE PLANTATION OWNER

America has a long and sordid history when it comes to our original sin, slavery. Although slavery was outlawed in 1865, we have not been able to get past the blood-drenched splatter of racism. The legacy of the Americans who are descendants of Africans has been one of great triumph but yet soaked in sorrow, horror and sadness. There has always been a concerted effort to separate poor Whites from Black Americans so that the two would not unite against the ruling class. Prior to and since the Civil War, poor Whites have always been made to feel superior to Blacks and encouraged to “keep their distance” from Black folks. On the slave plantations White overseers patrolled the plantation on foot and horseback to monitor the slaves’ actions. Poor Whites where often installed as overseers on plantations to beat the shit out of the slaves to keep them in check. An integral part of the overseers job was to inflict extreme pain on the slaves, very often to the point of murdering them (but of course the overseers were not prosecuted for killing someone who was only counted as 3/5 of a human). This pain was inflicted in full view of the other slaves on the plantation to serve as a deterrent to other slaves engaging in unwanted activity.

After losing the Civil War, the White southerners felt the urgent illogical need to instill fear in the former slave citizenry. From this fear emerged white-nationalist racist killer groups such as the Ku Klux Klan. At the same time, local police departments began to pop up all over the former Confederacy. The main objective of these police departments was to keep the newly freed Blacks in check. My guess is that if serious research was conducted, one would find that chief among the applicants for these positions as supposed law enforcement officers were the former overseers. You remember them right, the ones who used to beat the shit out of slaves, often murdering them.

Over the years and to this day, many of those who go into law enforcement have the same mentality as the overseers did — the mindset that they are there to keep their foot on the necks of Black men to keep them down and in their place.

If you have not watched the entirety of the ten minute video of Chauvin murdering George Floyd, then you should. The video is very difficult to watch but it should be required viewing for all White Americans.

On that video you see Overseer/Officer Derek Chauvin, mercilessly squeezing the life out of Mr. Floyd by applying deadly pressure to Floyd’s neck with his knee while three other overseers/officers assist.

Chauvin did this all the while with his hand in his pocket looking like it was just another day on the job. It’s crazy!!! If you watch the video you will see a look on Chauvin‘s face that bespeaks pure evil, a look that evinces one trying to make an example out of Mr. Floyd for the onlookers. But this scene was a little different from the murder scenes on the plantations. Here, there were not only Black people begging the overseers/officers to spare Floyd’s life, there was also a white woman (who identified herself as a firefighter and first responder to the cops) begging Chauvin to stop strangling Floyd and to let her take his pulse. What a difference time makes. Today there is no more “keep your distance” from African Americans, at least not on the issue of whether it’s proper for a cop to strangle a helpless black man to death in public and on camera while others are begging and pleading for his life. Today, we Americans stand united in the fact that there was no justification for the murder of George Floyd by these officers. Americans of all races have taken to the streets together to express our sincere outrage.

Enter Trump. Let us not forget that during the presidential campaign, Trump, while speaking to a group of law enforcement officers, called on police not to be “too nice” to people (and you know he was talking about black people) when arresting them. He suggested that the police should bang suspects heads on the cruisers as they put them in the vehicle.

Well congratulations Trump; mission accomplished. Chauvin was not “too nice” to Mr. Floyd. Because of Trump’s vile rhetoric, Mr. Floyd, who by all accounts was a super duper nice and caring person, is dead. MURDERED. MR. FLOYD’S BLOOD IS ON TRUMP’S HANDS AND SO IS ALL OF THE VIOLENCE THAT HAS RESULTED AS A CONSEQUENCE OF MR. FLOYD’S MURDER.

But, for this dude, Trump, it’s not enough that the Country is in the middle of yet another crisis while suffering through a fucking pandemic; he is now threatening to unleash dogs, weapons and young Secret Service officers on protestors. Not only that, but he has released mounted cops (once again emblematic of life on the plantation), fired rubber bullets and flash bangs, pepper sprayed and tear gassed peaceably assemble American citizens so that he could take a walk through a park to pose with the Holy Bible in front of an Episcopal Church in a manner eerily reminiscent of Hitler. When Trump held the Bible up in front of the church, he misused the Christian religion just as the slave master did — as a justification for using harsh tactics to subjugate people and strip them of their humanity. Trump even ordered a military helicopter to fly extremely low near a group of protesters to intimidate and scare the hell out of them. Helicopters, of course, did not exist during the slavery era. But if they did, the slave owners would have no doubt used them as Trump did. I could go on and on with other examples of Trump’s racist slave master mentality, but I will leave you with this:

TRUMP SEES HIMSELF AS THE ULTIMATE PLANTATION OWNER. THE EXTREMELY FRIGHTENING PART OF THIS IS THAT TRUMP IS THE MOST POWERFUL MAN IN THE WORLD WHO SEES US ALL AS HIS SLAVES. WHAT THE FUCK WILL HE DO NEXT? I DON’T KNOW BUT YOU BETTER FUCKING VOTE, LEST WE ALL, BLACK AND WHITE, WILL REALLY BE BACK ON THE PLANTATION!!!
